Norah's Garlic Herb Butter
OK ya’ll, my 7-year-old daughter made this herb butter.
If a 7-year-old can do it, I feel confident that you can too! 😁
This is the PERFECT complement to my Easiest Bread Recipe Ever, and I’ve given you other serving suggestions too. Enjoy!
Norah’s Garlic Herb Butter
Ingredients:
2 sticks unsalted butter, softened (grass-fed or European-style are best)
Handful of fresh herbs, like rosemary, thyme, sage, oregano, and mint (some or all)
2 big cloves garlic
Directions:
Soften butter at room temperature.
Chop herbs and garlic very finely.
Add chopped herbs and garlic to softened butter in a bowl and cream it together with a spoon until it's mixed thoroughly. Add a sprinkle of sea salt and mix it in.
Scoop out herb butter into the middle of a piece of plastic wrap.
Fold the plastic wrap over the butter and form the butter into a log shape. Seal the plastic wrap around all sides and refrigerate until the butter is hardened.
When you want to use it, slice a disc off the herb butter log.
Serving suggestions:
Put a slice on top of hot toast or biscuits and eat it that way, or add a thick, juicy slice of tomato on top with an extra sprinkle of sea salt and black pepper.
Put a slice on top of steak or fish and let it melt into the meat to add tons of flavor.
Add a slice to mashed potatoes and then mix it in.
Add a slice to the pan before you make scrambled or fried eggs for a really luxurious breakfast. 🤤
